 The founding of the Fruterra company is a result of a very long business collaboration between the Zott Dairy Co. and the company named Kraus und Kraus, as its main fruit supplier for the basic part in the making process of the fruit yogurts, famous for its quality throughout Europe. Exceptional product characteristics and a great effort of the distributing team resulted in a very quick acceptance of the famous brands by the Serbian consumers in the making conditions of the organized market. Encouraged by the initial results, members of the FRUTERRA team came to a decision to place a Jogobella fruit yogurt in the Serbian stores in September, 2002. That product has been the leading imported product in that category ever since. The expansion has been done by including of the puddings, desserts and cheeses into the assortment, which enthroned the name of ZOTT as a synonym for exceptional quality and taste. This, in addition, enabled the delivery continuity of the goods, so the managing FRUTERRA team embarked in the seas of import for the other, complementary programs for the domestic market. In a very short period the Serbian market was richer for Bergader, Hochwald, Westland, Granarolo, Jomo, Spak goods… This kind of concept enhanced the general idea that our consumers shouldn’t be deprived of the top quality products full of domestic Serbian fruit, while the export remained twice as ample as import.
